About AdoptNearby

Looking for a pet to adopt should not mean fighting through popups and ads. AdoptNearby was built in Pennsylvania by one person who got tired of that, and who noticed that birds, reptiles and small animals get almost no attention on the big sites.

The listings come from shelters and rescues through the RescueGroups.org feed. We show them plainly, by species and state, and link you to the organization. We do not take applications, hold data about you, or charge anyone.

The site pays for itself with a small commission when you choose pet insurance or supplies through a link here. Those links never affect which animals are shown or in what order.
